caryn250About Caryn Adam:

Caryn completed her BSc Physiotherapy at Stellenbosch University in 2008 after which she went to Barberton in Mpumalanga for her year of community service. She has practiced in the private sector for over a decade. Her passion for sport improves her ability to treat sport injuries and orthopeadic conditions.

JayneAbout Jayne Broderick:

Jayne received her BSc Pysiotherapy at Stellenbosch University. She was part of the Stellenbosch university team that won the annual intervarsity strapping competition. After taking a few months off to focus on her Lifesaving; to compete for Team South Africa at World Games 2009; Jayne completed her community service at Pietermaritzburg Assessment Therapy Centre. Jayne then moved to Johannesburg, where she worked in private practice while completing her Orthapaedic Manual Therapy 1 (OMT 1). She returned to the Cape in 2011, as the environment is much better suited to her active lifestyle. She has worked in the Southern Suburbs and Cape Town at well-respected orthopaedic and sports practices. She joined Caryn Adam Physiotherapy in May 2019.

Being an avid endurance athlete as well as a qualified triathlon coach, Jayne enjoys treating sports injuries and understands the importance of sports specific rehabilitation. She is a qualified Pilates instructor and finds that this complements her rehabilitation based approach to treatment.

IlseAbout Ilse Krog (Human):

Ilse is originally from Bethal in Mpumalanga and completed her BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Pretoria in 2004. Ilse completed her community service year at Witbank General Government Hospital, after which she moved to the UK. She worked as a physiotherapist for the NHS in the UK for 4 years before returning to Pretoria, where she worked in private practice for a year. In 2010, Ilse moved to Cape Town and joined a private hospital-based practice in the northern suburbs, where she gained a broad range experience. Ilse joined Caryn Adam Physiotherapy in 2020 after moving with her husband and two young sons to Somerset West.
Ilse has an abundance of energy and enjoys an active lifestyle. She is a keen long distance runner and enjoys mountain biking and a variety of other outdoor activities, which helps with the understanding and treatment of sport related injuries.
As well as treating Orthopeadic and Sports injuries, Ilse has experience in: -Peadiatric chest conditions, Post-surgical treatment and rehabilitation (e.g. lymph drainage, cardiac rehab), Women’s health and breastfeeding conditions and visceral mobilization after abdominal surgery. Ilse is particularly interested in Vestibular rehabilitation, which relates to problems with balance, dizziness, and tinnitus.
Ilse’s passion is to establish a sincere connection with all her patients, who she treats with professionalism, humility, respect, and empathy.
